Making each ride as realistic and exciting as possible, Vitus has also fully kitted out this off-road warrior with the same top-level components as its adult counterparts.
For the 20" wheel performance, Vitus have fitted one more gear to give a Shimano 7 speed drivetrain, including a Altus rear derailleur and thumb shifter both these offer a light action performance making it easier for kids change gear.
To ensure that your child can stop with ease, Vitus have bolted on a set of Tektro cable actuated disc brakes to give a solid braking performance not matter whether it’s wet or dry. Along with these they have got short pull levers making it that little bit easier for the children to reach the levers.
Vitus wanted to make a mini trail bike without adding too much weight. As adults we don't like lugging round heavy bikes so why should our children have to suffer the same. To help do this on the 20+, Vitus sacrificed the suspension forks which is where most the weight is for a set of 2.6" tyres. Traditionally a 20" bike would use 1.75/2.0 tyres, using the 2.6" offers improved stability and grip whilst adding extra cushioning that is equivalent to 30mm of travel. Not to mention they look awesome!!
